Merhaba Ramadhan!

I’m supposed to pass 2 technical certifications before this Ramadhan, but until today I haven’t even sat for the first paper. Err… correction here; I haven’t even started studying for it. I’m not lazy; it’s just that doing hands-on is a lot more exciting than memorizing product specs and theories. Maybe I should just cram the exam prep after ‘sahur’ and complete both papers before ‘Raya’… hmmmm….

As preparation for Ramadhan, I take annual leave today. The initial plan is to clean the house and mow the lawn (tapi pagi ni hujan la pulaaaak…rumput dah basah ni). We’ll see how things go today. I need to make some chili paste, peel some garlic and onion so that I can just cook with the ‘campak-campak’ method for ‘sahur’.

Ramadhan has always been the slowest month of the Hijrah year. Maybe it’s because I spend more time awake (iyelah, for someone whose alarm goes off at 7a.m everyday..) I can’t take afternoon naps because I work, remember? Then I also have to work during lunch hour so that I could go home at 4.30p.m. Well, life is even more hectic for working moms during Ramadhan. (Note: I posted a recipe for busy moms at Pourtavie, go check it out…)

After 15th of Ramadhan, it will get even crazier. With all the sales going on, buying kuih raya, visits to car service center, ‘pujuk’ boss to approve Raya leave, complete outstanding project tasks (to make sure boss will approve leave) and not to forget, chase the tailor.

It’s amazing that some busy moms can still find the time to bake cookies, cakes, sew clothes and re-decorate their houses during Ramadhan. Hey, most of these Supermoms don’t even have maids to assist them. Women are such good multitaskers that many large organizations feel that they can’t afford to lose them (go read Sunday’s NST on flexi-working for women. Thanks Jue for tipping me on this!)

Since Ramadhan is going to be hectic, I took a long break since last Saturday until today. An entourage from kampong came to visit and spent two nights at our house. It was the first time for our latest addition in the family: Ahmad Ak1d Zarfan coming to KL.

Early Sunday morning, my family returned to kampong and we headed to Ganu Kita as Mr. Hubby had meeting there and I had to enjoy keropok lekor. Hehehehe…. I just had to, okay. Every Ramadhan I’d be missing keropok lekor like crazy. I would go to Ramadhan buffets that have keropok lekor in the menu.

Ganu beach... one of my favorite things in life. A must visit at least twice a year.

What a miraculous moment! The boys are not fighting and wrestling, but quietly watching TV. Bonding session, kot?

Then, I realized why the behaved so well. Nak bodek I let them go into the children's pool early. Patutlaaaa....

Happy Ramadhan y'all!

I agree with u Kak Dayang!! Beach ganu memang lawa.I think that's one of the reason I still boleh hidup kat Kerteh nih. U tak pergi Pantai Kemasik (just few mins from Awana Kijal) ker ambil gambar?

happy ramadhan :-)

Didie,
We took some photos at Pantai Kemasik back in 2005. This time tak sempat nak singgah. We all had satar, otak-otak and keropok at Geliga, Kemaman. I prefer the keropok here than Losong's.

Azer,
Selamat berpuasa to you too!

Yus,
Selamat berpuasa to you too! Agak2, berapa lah harga ayam percik kat Pasar Ramadhan TTDI tahun ni ye?

Selamat berposa. BOIKOT AYAM!

TheGreenLover said...

K. Dayang, considering the prices of ayam right now + the premium they add for selling in TTDI, sure melambung2 punya!

Selamat menjalankan ibadah berpuasa dan ibadah-ibadah yang sewaktu dengannya...

I dare not go to Bazar Ramadhan TTDI this year, my dear. So, I'll be going to Section 17 where prices are still not too bad.

Untuk mengelakkan membazir, jangan bawak handbag/purse with you when you go to Bazar Ramadhan. Bawaklah duit yang secukup-cukupnya sahaja to buy the food yang terlintas nak makan... (That was a community service/advice brought to you by WSRWAAJ...Hahaha!)

akula,
yes, memang tengah boikot ni. Yesterday masak sardin. Today masak pasta je.

yus,
nasib baik I dok Puchong.

Kak Shana,
I rasa macam nak boikot Bazaar Ramadhan jugak.
