2008? Hmmmmph…

Spena tagged me with this, she said this is becoming a tradition as we'll be doing this every year on the 31st December. I think that's cool. At least I know I have a checkpoint every year. Rather than endless whining about how unfair life turned out to be, why not just list our 'to-do' and 'has-done' items and get it over with, right?

1.How has 2008 been for you in a nutshell?
Career wise, it sucked a lot as I felt many work colleagues now feared me just because I became a Team Leader. I know I always wore THAT look when I was serious at work but I never thought that my 'geng lepak kat tangga membuang masa' would fear me.
If that's not bad enough, I also couldn't leave the office as early as before because I had to attend many meetings that I had no interest in. Come to think of it, I never had any interest in attending meetings (unless it's held at some posh coffee shop where they serve English scones with butter and jam.... yummmm).

Family wise, it was hell as hubby was stationed in JB for a few months and I had to survive in KL alone with the children. With the rising crime rate in our neighborhood, night time was damn scary - even with all the lights on. Thank god he decided to find another job.

Hobby wise, it was great because I finally bought a sewing machine and started playing with fabric and thread again after 12 years. Besides that I also attended cupcake deco class and had great fun with fondant.

2.Apart from your family members, name one person who has made you happy in 2008.
Steven Gerrard, boleh? Hehehehe

3.Do you feel you are better off, or worse off than you were in 2007?
I was worse because I didn't go to gym as often as in 2007 and then stopped attending body pump class because I couldn't get out of the office early. I didn't watch my diet between Jan - May 08 and was diagnosed with high BP and high cholesterol in Aug 08. Padan muka, kan?

4.Where was the best holiday trip for you in 2008?
London baybeh!
Because of this holiday now I am more motivated to save money instead of splurging on clothes, shoes and shoes. Next year's holiday will probably be London again, baybeh!

5.Name 3 positive things you have achieved in 2008.
a. Overcame my phobia of water - learned to swim.
b. Changed to a healthier eating - started adding Herbalife into my diet
c. Diversified investment - long story ... lain kali kita cerita, ok?

6.Name the best movie you saw in 2008.
High School Musical 3 !!! hahahahaha. Forget the storyline; the songs and dances really made me feel young, happy and alive.

7.Name 5 friends that you have made in 2008
Mrs. MY and Mrs. HO who joined the department middle of 2008.
Miss A who is trying to get her boss's green light to be transferred to my department.
Miss RR who knows where the good ayam penyets are.
Mrs F the tokey kerepek who never gives me any discount but we became friends immediately.

8.What new year’s resolution for 2008 that you have not achieved?
Cook nutritious meal for the family more often.

9.What would your new year’s resolution for 2009 be?

Cook nutritious meal for the family more often?
Make another baby.
More culinary exploration and this will include attending bread making workshops.
Make sure my mom goes to see E&T specialist to get proper treatment for her sinus problem. She has been having bad coughs for years but she refused to go and see a specialist, and yet she continuously complained about it. I suspected her sinus was causing the coughs but I'm no doctor, what can I say.

10.Name 5 people you would like to tag.
Lila, Aneez, Dilla, Didie and Zara in Germany.
Sila... sila... jangan malu-malu....
