Zarif is two!!

Zarif turned two during the fasting month. I was so lazy to blog about it then, so only managed to put up a few of his latest photos today. He is now big enough to take his own drink from the fridge and can take clothes off himself.

Now he can construct simple but complete sentences like 'Nak pegi taman!' and 'Taknak makan nasik!'. He can also pronounce his brothers' names properly.

But still, he's not that interested to watch TV. He'd rather watch You Tube on the iPad and plays with his toys. Almost every night, he's the last one to fall sleep (before me). He's probably not going to be a morning person too (just like me) as he'll only wake up at around 9a.m.
The Kakak at the daycare told us a few times that Zarif can see small objects from very far away, and it amazed them. I think my boy has bionic eyes (maybe, well... who knows). Perhaps that's the reason why he doesn't like watching TV. 

Zarif is 17 months

On 25th Jan, Zarif turned 17 months (I hope I'll live long enough to write about his 17th birthday, insyaallah). That week he was not really well, he had asthma attack. We've heard stories from our mothers/grandmothers that small kids would be sick on the week of their birthdate. I found some truth in this after monitoring my kids when they're less than 3 years old. Every month Zarif would either have cough, flu or fever around the 25th.

Well, when I was pregnant with him, my gynae prescribed Neuro Gain. She told me the baby will be very clever and won't have to spend too much time studying for exams (like how we did when we're at school/uni. LOL). The gynae was right! Zarif can play games on the iPad, switch between applications, change settings, unlock and do so many other things on that tablet which I never taught him. Actually he's the one who showed us the shortcut to iPod on a locked iPad. Hehe.

He's taking solid food now but would still ask for milk like 6 times a day. He still wakes up at around 4a.m screaming to be fed. 

I love buses. I'm looking at one now. 

 He's so fascinated with lorries and buses. When he sees either one he would scream 'BAAAAAS!!!!' When he sees a car, he'd say 'CAR!' According to his paediatrician, once they reach 18 months it's normal for toddlers to be able to say single syllable words. So far Zarif is progressing well, I think because he can do it already.  'kucing' will be 'CHING', 'makan' will be 'MAM', 'abang' will be 'BANG'.
Then there's one word he can pronounce in 2 syllables, that is 'DAHSYAT!'; he pronounces it as 'DACAT!'. Obviously he likes to watch Raja Lawak 5 on ASTRO.

I was so tiny back then. 

Whenever I snap his picture I will always look at this very first picture of him I took at the hospital. He was only a few hours old when this picture was taken. Alhamdulillah, he's grown bigger now and I pray he'll be healthy and have a happy childhood. 

Torres punya pasal

We visited Anfield last year. Tapi alangkah malangnya it was summer, takde game and Wazif didn't get to see his favorite players in the flesh. We only went on the museum tour. Even the stadium tour was fully booked then. Again, Wazif was frust tertonggeng lah.
So, when we learned that Liverpool was coming to Singapore, Mr. Hubby quickly purchased 2 tickets, for Wazif and him. Since I'm now in my 3rd trimester (8 months plus some more) takde sapa yang pelawa I pegi la kan...

On Sunday morning, pagi-pagi lagi aku dah kejut Wazif. Senang aje nak kejut dia pagi tu. 'Sapa nak pegi Singapore tengok Liverpool, cepat bangun!!!' Heheheh. Berkobar-kobar Wazif bangun.

Right after having breakfast, Mr. Hubby, Wazif and in-laws bertolak ke JB. Mr. Hubby parked his car at his parents' place and took public transport to Singapore. At 4pm Mr. Hubby texted me that they're almost there.

He texted me again after the match telling that they're coming back to KL soon. Gila punya terrer, balik hari je. I didn't know what time they reached the house. When I woke up the next morning I found Wazif sleeping heavily on his tilam. When I got up to head to the bathroom suddenly I heard his voice, 'Mak, best mak pegi tengok Liverpool. Rugi mak tak pegi...' His eyes were still shut and I thought he must be mengigau or what. Then suddenly he continued, 'Kelakar tau mak, ada sorang tu datang pakai jersey Man U. Lepas tu semua orang Boo dia...' Ok, he's not talking in his sleep. He's just too excited to share his experience but his eyes refused to open. 'Torres score satu goal tau mak...'
After that I had to listen to all his tales and adventure sepanjang hari Isnin itu. I pity his friends who had to listen to the same stories throughout the week.

Best tak cuti sekolah???

Aktiviti lazim bebudak dua orang ni time cuti sekolah ialah melepak tengok TV kat rumah, main bola kat tengah jalan (depan rumah), pegi mandi kat swimming pool pastu tak ingat nak abiskan homework yang cikgu bagi.

Tapi kali ni cuti sekolah tak pegi jalan mana-mana pun, kecuali pergi kenduri kawin yang dekat-dekat aje. Diorang dua-dua orang memang bengang sebab cuti kali ni sungguh tak meriah, jadi Mak diorang yang malas nak jalan ni bagitau la sekarang ni musim H1N1, tak boleh pegi tempat awam selalu sangat. Nak pegi hotel tak boleh, pegi Sunway Lagoon lagilah tak boleh. Paling bahaya, pegi airport tak boleh. Jadi, jangan mimpilah nak pegi holiday naik kapal terbang, kan?

Maka kali ni, dua-dua orang budak ni kena datang ofis Mak diorang, untuk acara kem budak sekolah selama satu hari. Mula-mula diorang taknak datang, iyelah.... pegi ofis Mak, mesti bosan kan? Dahlah Mak diorang hari-hari asyik komplen bosan buat kerja kat ofis. Mesti diorang ingat aku nak dera diorang.

Setelah dipaksarela, maka diorang pun bangun pagi dan bersiap dengan pakaian sukan untuk pegi kem ni.
Nasib baik ada lagi sorang kawan Shawq1 pun datang jugak (iye, budak yang baju belang merah itu ialah kawan dia...! Satu kelas kat sekolah kebangsaan. Fesyen rambut pun sama je) Kalau tak, diorang dua-dua mesti tak syok.

Awal-awal lagi diorang ni komplen boring. Shawq1 pun dah tersengguk-sengguk kat dalam auditorium. Waz1f kenalah kontrol sikit kan..... takkan Pengawas nak merelakan diri tertidur masa taklimat kan...

Ini lah segerombolan anak-anak ofismet aku yang datang haritu. Ramai yang dah besar-besar panjang pun. Anak-anak aku je yang paling junior. Tapi okaylah sebab semuanya sporting. Yang hyper active pun ada jugak. Kawan-kawan aku yang dipaksarela jadi fasilitator ada yang rasa macam nak cubit-cubit bebudak tu, tapi mengenangkan anak-anak ofismet sendiri, maka bersabar sajalah.

Selepas dapat sijil penyertaan. Shawq1 tak faham kenapa dapat sijil ni. Dia tanya aku sijil tu macam voucher atau kupon ke? Bila fikir-fikir balik, kalau sijil tu disertakan dengan shopping voucher, okay jugak, kan? Hehehe.

Waz1f muka comot kena conteng dengan fasilitator. Entah apalah dosa nya akupun tak pasti lah. Yang pastinya, kumpulan diorang ni nama Transformers, tapi kena pakai head band warna Pink. Isy, tak macho langsung. Sampai petang kena kutuk ngan aku. Tension je diorang.

Pada hari Ahad aku bawah bebudak ni pegi Borders, dengar Tunku Halim punya book talk. Buku ensiklopedia TH ni aku dah beli masa mula-mula dijual kat Malaysia dulu. Tapi sebab aku beli kat Kinokuniya, maka aku tak bawaklah ke Borders untuk tandatangan, segan seeehhhhh!!!

Masa aku sampai, TH tengah buat kuiz (yang sebenarnya ditujukan untuk budak-budak) tapi aku dengan Mr. Hubby berkobar-kobar nak jawab jugak. Tapi soalan dia mencabar gila, Mr. Hubby jawab salah pulak tu. Nasib baik masa aku jawab betul. Memang nak nahas lah kalau tak tau fakta sejarah Malaysia yang senang-senang tu, kan....?

Tapi kalau korang baca ensiklopedia ni sebenarnya ada banyak lagi fakta yang selama ni kita tak pernah dengar pun. Akupun sangat kagum dengan research yang TH buat. Ensiklopedia dia ada banyak gambar-gambar yang kita tak pernah tengok dalam buku sejarah zaman-zaman pre-KBSR dulu. Tak caya, korang pegilah beli satu (tak pun, dua...).

Dalam pada aku dengan Mr. Hubby dok berkobar-kobar jawab kuiz tu, Waz1f dengan Shawq1 terus hilang pegi tengok DVD kat tingkat atas.

Tujuan asal datang sini nak mintak TH punya autograph, takpun posing-posing ambil gambar kenangan. Tapi, last-last pegi beli DVD. Entah apa-apa, aku terpedaya jugak dengan taktik budak dua orang ni. Kalau diorang aje yang beli DVD takpe, ini dengan aku sekali yang terjerumus sama.
