Rumah bersih

Now that my timeline has been flooded with people complaining about the government and opposition regarding this Bersih rally, I couldn't find anything more interesting than this topic.
Well, I fired my maid in early 2010, so I have been getting cleaning services from a Malay lady who was recommended by a friend. She's been coming to the house twice a month to do cleaning. I only paid her RM60 per visit. Her scope of work only covers cleaning. No laundry, no cooking, no gardening.
There were a few times, she brought her helpers to do the cleaning and every time I came home (she cleaned in the morning, while I was in the office) I'd be complaining. Her helpers are all Indonesian ladies who have other jobs such as working at restaurants, or part time maids. These ladies were so hopeless, they didn't even throw away the rubbish from the kitchen. A few of them have cleaned my house, and I was dissatisfied each time.
Since I complained too often,  the Malay lady had no choice but to clean my house herself.
But now, she asked me to pay her on monthly basis and she'll come to clean four times a month. I said yes.
Ok, now back to that Bersih rally. Now why would you want to join this rally? Do you understand the whole motives behind it? Do you know what you are fighting for? Have you asked your parents whether they mind you getting involved (for those below 21, please get your parents' consent!). If you are below 21, why should you be so kepochi because you're not even eligible to vote yet.
And if you're above 21, go and get yourselves registered as voters and vote in the next PRU. I'm just so sick of reading the bullshit posted by people who doesn't understand a thing about it and never even bother to check what 'demokrasi berparlimen' is all about.

Membebel di pagi Isnin

Pagi Isnin, aku datang ofis dengan hati berat, kepala lagi berat. Ramai orang benci Isnin, sama macam aku.

Kenapa banyak tindakan lambat?

Scary movies

On this peaceful Sunday afternoon, I just wanna tell all Malaysian movie producers to stop making scary movies. They're just so the 90s. It's 2011, please make movies with better qualities and focus on making Malaysian movies that really represent the country. What do foreign people get whenever they watch Malaysian movies, I wonder. I never went to watch any of the ghost/scary movies in the cinema. They're just degrading the minds.
I pity the script writers who had to come up with ideas for ghost stories. How many ghosts can you create? How scary can the scenes be? Don't they feel that in a way, it's rather irresponsible to the society? Do you want our younger generation to feel that the country is filled with ghosts? Do you realize that young children now have started to fear ghosts more than God?
I am still hoping to watch good Malaysian movies. It's been a while since I saw Malaysian movies that were both enjoyable and left a feeling deep inside me long after I left the cinema seat. Perhaps our movie producers listen to the market too much, focusing only on making films of the famous genre. What happened to making art? Real art?
CGI can be considered as a tool to enhance art, but too much CGI can be just as disgusting as putting on too much make up on an old whore's face. A successful CGI application in a movie won't make a great movie - there's still the acting part that the audience and critics want to enjoy. I have nothing against CGI; it should be applied in more movies - to compliment the acting and the storyline - not to monopoly the whole movie. Produce an animation if you are too in love with CGI, will you?

A (very angry) message to all Prudential insurance agents

I am going to be a very rude person today for I've been receiving so many rude phone calls from Prudential insurance agents. Firstly, I just want to establish that I have never gave my consent (in any form that I've filled up in my entire life) for any insurance agent to call me. Especially when I've never met them in real life. If it just so happened that we have mutual friends in Facebook, it doesn't mean you know me.

Other insurance agents have been professional enough to introduce themselves and inform me how they got my cell phone numbers. Some of them are friends to my not-so-close friends. Since they were polite, I treated them well. I understood they're just trying to make a living.

But that's not the case with a few Prudential insurance agents who've been calling me lately. They were persistent, unprofessional, rude and unethical. Their calls were really annoying and at times they're close to harassment.

Most of the times, they just told me their names and the plan that they wanted to sell to me. Hello, are you insurance agents or telemarketers? If you've decided to become an insurance agent, you should realize that you're becoming a salesman. You have products to sell and you have to win your customer's heart in order to close the deal. I don't understand why some of you are stupid enough to force people to buy. Not only that, you're explaining the importance of insurance as if the person on the line is a moron.

I am not an angel. And as a human being, I'm not the patient one when having to deal with pushy people. I just want each of these agents to know that as a salesman, you at the mercy of those future customers. So, play the game well. I can mention names here but I decided not to as that will only make me look unprofessional.

This message also goes to the people/organization who provided my number to the agents without my consent. I want them to realize that information trading such as this is illegal and not halal. Think about the status of commission you're getting. The commission is not halal, and you buy food for your children with that money? Think again.

Who the 'tooooot' is this Roslina Mohd Islak?

Celcom has been calling me for the past 3 months and asked for Roslina Mohd Islak. Everytime, I told them that it's not her number and I am not Roslina. But these people from Celcom kept on calling me a few times a month. It always went something like this:

Celcom: Hello, boleh saya bercakap dengan Roslina Mohd Islak?
Me: Sorry, wrong number.
Celcom: Ini bukan nombor Roslina ke?
Me: Bukan, ini nombor saya.
Celcom: Cik ada kenal tak Roslina ni?
Me: Tak, saya tak kenal.
Celcom: Memang betul ke cik tak kenal?
Me: Tak.
Celcom: Betulke ini bukan nombor Roslina?
Me: Bukan....

After like 9 or 10 times having to go through the same stupid conversation, last month I really lost my patience and lashed out at the caller. I threatened to log a complain and asked to speak to their manager, but the caller hung up.

A few days ago Celcom called me again asking for the same name. I told myself to calm down before asking her why was she looking for Roslina. Her explanation made me really furious.

This lady Roslina registered with Celcom for a post-paid number. She gave MY number as her alternative contact phone number. It turned out she hasn't been paying her monthly bills and the bills were also returned to sender. So, Celcom has been trying to contact her but to no avail as her Celcom number is not contactable.

I only have one thing to tell this Roslina, 'Kalau takde duit, jangan la berangan nak pakai post-paid number dan janganlah suka hati bagi nombor orang lain kat telco provider.' It's just so stupid and irresponsible.

If you happen to know anybody named Roslina Mohd Islak, please relate the message to her. Who knows, perhaps 20 out of 25 of my blog readers might know a Roslina, and one of them happens to be her. If it's really her, just tell her to settle the bills. I want a peaceful and happy life.

2 down, 3 more to go

Pregger engineer number 2 had safely delivered a darling baby girl on Monday night. Next in the queue is me. The C-section is scheduled on Tuesday morning, 25th August. The boss has started showing signs of ‘meroyan’ after pregger engineer number 2 was admitted to hospital.

During my last check-up with the gynae, she advised me to take one week rest before the op. That means I’ll need to close shop by this Friday and rest at home starting next Monday. My BP was a bit higher than usual during the check-up. Not sure what’s the cause. Could be work pressure. Ya lah, everybody’s expecting me to complete/conclude EVERYTHING before I go for maternity leave.

Some of the requests are quite ridiculous especially for problematic projects. It’s impossible I could close everything within a week’s time. And furthermore, I’m only overseeing the project, not the one implementing the solutions. Being pushed and pressured for such an impossible thing can really make one’s blood goes upstairs, I tell you.

Post natal arrangement is also troubling me. I’m only getting 14 days of confinement lady services as she’s already booked starting middle of September. There’s still no news on the maid I ordered about 4 months ago. I knew I should have booked the maid a lot earlier. Never expected the Indon Government would want to impose new regulations in order to protect their human resource. Now that there’s no news regarding the MOU between the 2 governments, the maid agency is also giving thousands of excuses not to confirm my maid’s status.

If only the local women are interested to work as helpers. We’re not calling these maids ‘orang gaji’ anymore; we always refer to them as HELPERS. I don’t see any reason why our local women are not attracted to the job. With RM550 as basic salary, it’s a lot higher than working as restaurant helpers or jadi Minah Kilang. Furthermore, they’ll get their own rooms, beds; can watch ASTRO when employers go out to work, free phone calls and a lot more benefits that are currently being enjoyed by Minah-minah Seberang.

The only minus point is that they’ll have to stay at employers’ houses and outings are limited. Well, that’s not as bad as staying in sekolah berasrama penuh or prisons, right?

I don’t know, perhaps majority of them sees working as helper is not glamorous. Their better choices are working at fast food restaurants, manufacturing industry, entertainment industry and later many become Tipah Tertipu and have to work as GRO and forced to live in a smelly, tiny, dingy flat shared with 10 other GROs.

Oh man, I am so bitter today. If I continue on writing about local women’s choice of occupation I’m afraid I’ll end up writing about prostitution problem in the country.

Or perhaps I should be writing about 1Malaysia? Somehow I still don’t really get it. There’s only one Malaysia, no doubt about it. But as I have mentioned in one of my friends’ comment box long-long time ago, we Malaysians are just like multicolored Play Doh kneaded together. You’ll get a bigger piece, but each color can still be seen clearly separated apart. They just don’t mix that well. Not like adding blue to red paint and you’ll see purple on your canvas. We can never be really truly one, but we need to continue on tolerating each other and working together. The individual colors should remain and don’t overdo the Play Doh kneading as it will only produce a duller piece. I hope the politicians get this metaphor.

Just had a break but need another one soon...

Today I am recuperating from two things: my 3 days holiday and the fuel price hike frustration.

It’s already 3.30pm and I am still feeling drowsy; even 3 cups of strong black coffee couldn’t wake me fully. Thank god the rest of the office is also as sleepy and looking just as demotivated; nobody’s requesting anything from me ever since morning.
The boss only stopped for awhile at my cubicle to tell me to prepare an orientation plan and one place for a new hire (replacement of The Diva).

Actually I was the one who recommended him to hire this engineer although his resume was not that impressive. I usually reject candidates with ‘too-good-to-be-true’ resumes. This particular candidate submitted a very simple CV so I actually investigated him (through my agents working in various IT companies in KL… hehehe). I’m paranoid like that most of the times and won’t simply hire some candidate who has a nice smile and made a good first impression during interview sessions. We are living in the IT era, but word of mouth is still very important. You can guess a person’s personality from her Facebook profile, but you’ll only get to know her if you’ve met her in person or mingle with her good friends.

So, until this new engineer report to work next Monday I’ll be somewhat idle most of the days this week. Can spend more time on Facebook, yeay!

(Skip the paragraphs below if you can’t stand any more opinions on the ‘minyak naik’ issue. I don’t want you to ‘naik minyak’ lagi…. )

On another note, I’m still rather pissed off with the fuel price hike. I might need to switch from using Shell V Power to cheaper options. The good thing is that I’m used to using an RM2 ++ per liter fuel, so paying an extra sens per liter would hurt a bit, but not too much, I guess (I hope… hehehe).

My greatest regret is the implementation and approach of this whole newly restructured fuel subsidy scheme. I think ¾ of Malaysian population has come up to terms with the fuel hike – it is inevitable, or so they said (well, at least that’s what I think the mainstream media has been trying to plant in our heads these past few days).

However, the implementation flaws are just too obvious. Read carefully every media statement made by the Minister in Charge and the PM himself. I am not a Project Manager, but I get a funny feeling that this was not properly planned and the implementation approach is just ‘reactive’. There’s no way for us to know whether this whole scheme has been planned since mid 2005 or only a few weeks ago or right after BN’s poor performance during the GE. A properly planned program/project/change shouldn’t be implemented so sudden, as if not giving any chance for the public to think and prepare for it.

As a result, there were negative reactions plus new development of distrust. As an adult, I was feeling both frustrated and insulted.

How would you feel when the government announced that Yes, they understood the people’s situation and will strategize more plans to help cushion the blow. So the officers in charge will be working throughout this weekend (for their first ever brainstorming session, I suppose) so that they could announce the plans on next Monday. Was there any study done by the subject matter experts before the government took this drastic action?
Shouldn’t those research papers be published somewhere? I’m neither an academician nor a politician, but I demand a proper project/program/change/scheme implementation with all the documentation in place. I sounded like my manager, I know. My conclusion is: Can we have better people to run the country, please?

... and please don't get me started on the fall back plans I expect the government to have in order to save the country's economy (especially our cost of living) as the inflation rate rises.

Working not sleeping.

What a joyous season, it's cold but not snowing. It's silent because nobody's here. It's hectic, but I'm not cooking ... nor baking ... nor ushering guests. It's all of the above because I'm working hard in the data center far far away from civilisation.

I know, it's hectic but why in the world am I updating my blog? So, I think you have to know that rule number one of my job: Waiting is part of the job scope.

Install one component - wait.
Configure one component - wait.

The human have to wait while the machine does its work - processing data.

What makes the human lose sanity? After hours of waiting for the machine to do its work, the machine gives an error code saying it just fails on the last part of its work. Damn!

Normal people who are so used to using Microsoft windows would say, 'If it fails, re-install, lah...'

Well, firstly people like me who do all these high end computer thingy are abnormal.
Secondly, comparing installing software on your PC to high end computer installation is like comparing building a small toilet to building a 20 storeys apartment.

This is one of the moments when I'd like to scream 'I HATE MY JOB! I HATE IT!' to the whole world. Since this place is so far from civilisation, I decided to just set one of my passwords to 'f*ckIT'.

Merry Christmas to all my Christian friends! and have a happy New Year.

My house kena rompak!!!!!!

Memang brengsek loh!
Kok rumah aku sudah dirampok tidak lama dulu. Kenapa harus kamu rampok lagi rumah aku?
Aku doakan, kamu cirit-birit langsung mampus kalau kamu makan dari hasil kamu merampok rumah aku itu. Ngerti kok?

---> That is not the latest hit song from Dewa19. Definitely not a poem by Pramoedya, either. That's just my spilled anger for losing an IBM Thinkpad, a brand new SONY VAIO, a TAG Heuer, a NIKON digital camera and hundreds of cash money.

As I've written here about the world is filled with bad people, I think most of them prefers to operate in my neighbourhood. We are not rich lah damn it! You need to get rick quick, go and work 20 hours a day, lah. Breaking and entering is not an occupation here.

This time, the modus operandi was quite different. They brought a long stick (about 10 ft) usually used for wall painting jobs. The stick look worn as it's stained with paint of various colors. It's made of 2 pieces of sticks, joined with tali rafia in the middle. (Will upload the closed up pics once I could Bluetooth somewhere.) They managed to force open the front window, used the long stick and pulled the keys we put on the shoe rack. The shoe rack is near our dining table, approximately 9 feet from the front window. They used the keyes to open our front door.

The brengsek prampok's tool:

The 'galah panjang' used. They left it on my laman (please ignore the sorry state of my laman... hehehe.. focus on the 'galah', ok.)

Middle part of the 'galah panjang'. It was strong enough to be used for 'mengait rambutan'.

Confirmed, it's used for wall or ceiling painting. It could have been owned by building contractors, artists (?) or 'tukang cat'.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

My FIL was awaken at 5.00 a.m and saw the front door ajar, yet he felt it's normal. He thought it was my hubby. (Helloooooo! Never in history my hubby wakes up at 5, unless it's fasting month.) My FIL went back to sleep. At 6 ++ he woke up for Subuh prayer and realized the door was wide opened, only then he alerted us.

We woke up to find papers scattered on the dining table and the said items were missing. My FIL was in a state of panic. Who wouldn't, especially when you just realized that the thieves were only a few metres from your bed. (My FIL sleeps in the room next to the dining area.)

So, I prepared the kids and drove them to the kindergarten before we went to file police report.

I think tonight they're going pay the 'kongsi' near my house a surprise visit. Yaaa... aku doakan kamu dicekup ini malam. Pergi tidur dalam lokap sejuk itu! Brengsek!

So, to all residents of Bandar K1nrara (and all my dear readers too), break the habit. A sophisticated alarm system can't help if the 'brengseks' know where you usually place your house keys.

Stupidity kills the pussycat

Guess where I am?

- office?
- customer's place?
- gym?
- Starbucks?
- Alamanda?
- Taman Tasik Shah Alam?

Naaayyyyyy ... your answers are all wrong!

I'm at home, faking sick and hating myself.
Well, OK, yes maybe I have been feeling rather sick since last night, I had stomach cramps again (the ever un-curable period pain). I knew I should've stick to that herbal sanitary pad, why oh why I bought another brand? Anyway, that decision was not stupid enough to make me wanna cry and bang my head on the wall at the same time.

If stupidity has a scale of 1 to 10, I feel like I'm already at 9.5. Okay, okay... let's stop this guessing game. This frustrated entry is related to my career development (again?? I thought everything turned out okay after getting that new SS title?) Well, the answer is NO.

The problem is, now it's quite complicated for me to discuss the real issue with anyone. I don't have a strong argument, I don't have the hard evidence, if I were to be brought to court, I'll surely lose the case. The only explanation to the mess I've put myself in is plain stupidity. How stupid was I? Stupider than stupid. Maybe you'll understand how that feels if I tell you that currently I really feel like disappearing from the world for the next two weeks or so.

Maybe I felt cheated and humiliated but I knew it was partly my mistake, that's why I feel like vanishing for awhile. It's not that I can't face my relatives, colleagues and friends. It's just that I think I need some space and time to recover, otherwise I'd just snap, burst or do more stupid things.

I think it's time to visit a good career shrink. Recommend me, if you know any.

If you still wanna continue with the guessing game, well here are the clues:

- performance appraisal
- increment
- professional certification
- project execution

Combine them all together, I'm sure you can guess what's my frustration is all about.

Return of the Chicken Game

Remember the Chicken that used to give missed calls on my handphone?

Now I have another Chicken.

This new Chicken has been calling me during the CNY break. I was travelling a lot during the holidays. One afternoon, after a long journey I realized I had 3 missed calls from an unknown number. I called back but there was no answer.

Then, I was rather preoccupied with the kids, did laundry and other 'housewify' stuffs. When I checked my phone again, I had 2 more missed calls from that number.

So, at around 9.20pm I decided to call the number again. After 2 rings a male's voice was heard at the other end of the line. He sounded like a teenage boy maybe 18 or 20 years old.

Dee : Hello! Sapa ni?
( Hello! Who is this?)

Chicken2: Err... aaahh...Dayang... hello...

Dee : Iye... hello... awak ni sapa?
(Yes, hello.... who are you?)

Chicken2: Errm... Dayang, awak tak kenal saya tapi saya kenal awak.
(Errm.. Dayang, you don't know me but I know you.)

Dee : Awak sapa? Mana awak dapat nombor ni?
(Who are you? Where did you get this number from?)

Chicken2: Ada sorang lelaki bagi kat saya, dia suruh saya call awak. Orang tu pendek-pendek je.
(A guy gave it to me and asked me to call you. He's rather short.)

Dee : Jadi, awak call saya ni nak apa?
(So, why are you calling me?)

Chicken2: Orang tu suruh telefon, jadi saya telefonlah petang tadi. Tapi awak tak angkat.
(The guy asked me to call, so I called this afternoon. But you didn't pick up.)

Dee : Awak call-call saya tu nak apa?
(What have you been calling me for?)

Chicken2: Errr... tak pe lah... kalau macam tu, saya mintak maaf.
(Err... it's okay ... I'm sorry.)

Dee : Jangan call saya lagi!
(Don't call me again!)

Chicken2: Saya mintak maaf... ok... saya mintak maaf.
(I'm sorry... ok.... I'm sorry.)

Dee : Lepas ni jangan call saya lagi, faham?
(Don't call me again after this, understand?)

Chicken2: Err... ok... ok

Then I hung up.

So, this time I think there are 2 chicken. The shorty who asked the guy to call me, and the caller himself.

After listening to my conversation with Chicken2, my hubby asked,

Hubby: Who was that?

Dee : Ntah.. (then I told him the whole conversation).

Hubby: I think that shorty told the guy to call your number if he wished to speak to a B.B babe. hahahahah...

Dee : Cisss.... tak membantu langsung.

To all my girlfriends, if you wanna have fun chatting anonymously with a guy with a teenage voice, SMS me. I'll give you the number. Yeeeehaaaa!!!

Note:

B.B babes stands for either
a. big breasted babes
b. big bum babes
or
c. bl*wjob best babes

Sila pilih yang mana berkenaan. Hahahahah.

Most Hated Email

It was only yesterday I was smiling endlessly thinking of 2007, how it's going to be another wonderful year. I have made plans and resolutions, lots of them. They include, more gardening, healthier eating, getting a fitness instructor, quality hours at the gym, be more pro-active in my daily life, take better care of the family (especially the husband... hee hee hee). Then, this morning I was greeted by this email from HR. It really spoiled my new year mood. *Sigh*

From: adalahsorangminah@hr
To: mrsdeesukahati@company.ni.le

Re: Overpayment of outstation claim for Dec 06

Dear Mrs. Dee,

Please check your Nov and Dec payslip.
Take note of the " TRAVEL" amount.
The same amount will appear in both months.
This is because the amount paid in Nov was updated again in the listing to HR for Dec payroll.

However, the payment need to be recovered from you by these options..
To pay back immediately by cash or chq..
OR the amount to be deducted thru Jan 07 payroll.

Total amount paid in Dec 06 = RM 374.30
Amount to be recovered = RM 374.30

Best regards,
Minah HR

So, I'm now poorer by RM374.30, and I have spent that money to pay for my Credit Cards yesterday. I hope this is not a bad sign for my financial state in 2007. Still praying and hoping for good increment coming in February. Although we already know that there's no bonus for this year, but I'm still hoping to get anything like performance bonus etc. Meanwhile, bye bye new haircut. Tsk tsk tsk....

Internet sucks.. againnnnnn

Hello people,
it's that time of the year again.

The sales groups are busy chasing numbers, the deployment people are busy completing deliverables while the support and administrative people are busy taking leaves.

If it's the same scenario in all IT organizations, then no wonder the internet connection sucks so much today.

I have lots of photos to upload, but the loading keep on failing.... chissss....!!

World peace

I am thankful there's oxigen everywhere
for I can breath them in and let them fill up my healthy lungs
I am thankful for the hills and mountains in this country
for they made great sceneries painters put on their canvases
I am thankful for the green forest that covers most part of my hometown
for when I needed really fresh air, I can always go there
I am thankful for my health
for I can continue building stamina and shed all these extra KGs.

I am grateful for this job
that is not keeping me away from my kids for more than 8 hours a day
I am grateful for having friends
who understand the meaning of 'I crave for chocolate, ice cream, pasta etc'
I am grateful for my car
that only requires re-fuelling once in 9 days
I am grateful for my lovely children
for their understanding and laughter that fills my ears
I am grateful for having a husband
as there are many women surviving alone as single parents.

I am happy for myself
as now I am a better person than yesterday
I am happy on behalf of yourself
if now you look at your surroundings
and say
"I am thankful and grateful for all these things too!"

p/s: Kimi, this is part of my anger management activities, ok.... hee heee...

My poem is beyond poetry

Your words hurt me
in so many ways
i couldn't explain how.

The cut is too deep
that whenever you are near
I'd look away.

It wounded
and left a fresh scar
so fresh that it bleeds
each time i see you
or even hear your name.

----------------------------------

So, do you think it's fair for us to punish someone who hurt us
deliberately? Especially that someone puts his/her ego on top of
everything else? And we know that he/she is still in a state of
denial, to admit that what he/she has done is wrong.

Maybe a little revenge would help restore our self esteem, and
cure the wound he/she left us. Or perhaps triple fold revenge
would make us feel a lot happier so that we could continue with
our life peacefully.

Does successful revenge make it easier to fall asleep at night?
Do you feel contempt seeing him/her hurting the same way you
did? Would you cheer to see the defeated look in his/her eyes?
Is it a victory now that you managed to erect the tall walls
that he/she could no longer peek through? As the walls would
shield you heart, do you feel secured?

And he/she just keeps quite. He/she still looks at you the
same way, staring helplessly at your cold eyes. Treating
the cold shoulders you are giving as something he/she
deserves, no complains, just silence and a shadow of a
big question mark in his/her eyes.

You know he/she suffers too, but refuses to put the ego
away. He/she knows time will not heal. All you want to
hear is just a sincere apology, so that you can let
all these things out of the system. It's not a sin
to have a fresh start...

Chicken game

My friends who received my SMS this morning would understand what I'm about to write.
I've read in other blogs on cases where you received calls and SMS from unknown numbers, but the callers didn't want to talk. Then, when you returned call, they didn't pick up. If you SMS back, they won't reveal who they are. When you used other numbers or get your friends to call, they won't pick up too. Based on Queen's experience, we've categorized these people as 'Chicken'. So today is the story of my Chicken.
I started getting the missed calls last Friday afternoon. My phone rang only once or twice each time. I didn't have a chance to pick the calls. Then I returned the call, but it was never picked up. It happened several times. Even when I straight away dialed the number after my phone rang, the person still didn't answer. The caller has Pencinta Wanita as the caller ringtone, so I had to listen to that song for so many times now I almost could memorize the wordings. I didn't bother to SMS. If it's important or they're my customers they would call me back.
Then it continued on Saturday and this morning. Well, at least now I know the caller took a rest on Sundays.
So, after breakfast this morning I forwarded the number to my friends, in case they knew it. Queen and Alien dialled the number and it turned out the caller is a she, the background sounded like a manufacturing environment and surprisingly, she picked up those calls. When I tried calling her from my office direct line, she still didn't pick up.
I don't remember having any direct or extended connection with any Minah Kilang. I also wonder why she's playing this game. But I know not many people has both my cellphone number as well as my office DiD. Hmmm... I managed to narrow down the list of people, but how do I know how this Minah Kilang is connected to them, eh?
Apparently I'm wasting my time thinking about this. However, I think it's funny though, having a female stalker, if I can call her a stalker. Yeah, I don't know what's her problem but this is getting really irritating.
Okay, enough about the Chicken. Let me get back to work.

Well before that, last week I met these glamorous twins at the gym. They were launching something there. So, managed to snap their photo.

They're really pretty, but oh... so skinny. I think their legs are only as big as my arms. However they have really beautiful complexion. Too bad I forgot to ask what eye cream they were using. Couldn't spot any line under their eyes. Lagipun, mekap dia orang tebal 5milimeter... :)

Sessi membebel tak sudah.

A (half awake) business trip
I went to Penang for a couple of days for a system investigation
(almost similar to CSI punya investigation lah) together
with our sub contractor.
I thought I liked Penang's people. They were
very warm and friendly. I felt like I was one of the tourists. Stayed
at one of the 4-stars hotel in Georgetown, and the buka puasa buffet
there was marvelous!! Nyum-nyum...

However, I never got the chance to have a closer look at Penang as I went to
bed at 9pm at night. Why? Because on Tuesday night I didn't sleep
a wink. Then, had to qada' tido for a few nights after that.
So, you can imagine me doing the investigation looking like a
zombie. I wonder why the CSI scientists and the detectives were
always looking their best even when they've done double shift and
spending the night in their lab... Perhaps I need a make-up artist.
So, work sucked last week.

Another (unfortunate) accident

Hmmmm.... when is this bad luck going to stay away from me? A 4WD kissed
my hubby's car's rear bumper in front of Sunway Pyramid last week,
and I was driving it!!!
So, this time, despite the busy traffic I stepped out of the car
and confronted the driver. I made a mean face, and he paid me on the spot.
Yeah, thanks to angeleyes for the inspiration.
However, the sad thing I learned that day was, "Some women were right to say
that some men do love their cars more than their wives." Tsk tsk tsk.
So, the atmosphere at home sucked the whole weekend.

So, life sucks! That's what this whole entry is all about.I'm still
wondering what would be the highlight before the long Raya holidays.
Well, I'm feeling so down. Whoever can cheer me up, I'll buy you
breakfast for a week (after raya). Klang valley participants only,
hihihi.

The Series of Unfortunate Events

It's not only because of the car accident I'm writing this.
I have told some friends about 'other' things that happened
to me before fasting month that had raised some concerns in
them.

I think it all started about one month before Ramadhan. At
nights, I'll have difficulty sleeping, and when I managed to
finally drift away I had unexplainable nightmares. Sometimes
I remembered some part of it, sometimes none. The dreams were
all blurry, almost dark and unpleasant. There was one, when
I dreamed running away from something (or maybe it was someone)
in the streets of New York. When I woke up, I was feeling
so tired I could hardly walk to the bathroom. When I reached
the office, I realised that I had blue-black markings on my
right arm. There were 3 lines, my colleague asked who did it
to me because the marking suggested that somebody has held my
arm real hard. I don't remember anybody holding me so hard
until it hurt. I played with the kids and we sometimes throw
toys at each other, but toys won't leave that kind of marking.

After almost a week, the blue black marking vanished.

However, the next week I had another dream. I was alone in a
dark room almost suffocated and drenched in sweat. I was
crying for help but nobody could hear me. Same as the previous
week, I woke up feeling exhausted and the shirt I wore was
wet with my sweat. Then, that afternoon, again I found a
blue black marking on my arm, this time on the left one.

This time I showed them to S.H and N.B. From their expression
I knew they were going to say something I prefer not to hear,
but the kept it to themselves.

That mark also vanished within the week.

I couldn't remember exactly what was my dream on the third
week but I found myself almost sobbing when I woke up the
next morning. It must have been something really sad. With
heavy feet and aching body I went to the bathroom, then
found markings on both arms, about 2cm from the wrist.
When I looked at them, they suggested that someone was
holding both my hands from the front. That someone must
have held it real hard as the blue black marking was so
obvious.

When I met S.H at the office's surau she suggested I
put a Yaasin under my pillow. According to her that might
help to eliminate 'devil' from her suspect list. Then I
asked her, whether we can eliminate jins too? She said,
she's not sure as there are Muslim Jins in this universe.
Then we decided, ok let's see what happen during Ramadhan.
If I'm okay, it could've been the syaitan's work.

So, during the first week of Ramadhan my arms were all
clear and had undisturbed sleep at night. I was relieved.

On Thursday afternoon I was trapped in the office lift
for 20 minutes - alone.

Come the second week of Ramadhan everything seemed fine.

On Tuesday, I was involved in a car accident, and I sped
away.

Today, my left eye has been twitching since morning. You
might know or still remember what our grandmas told us
about twitching left eye, right? Some sad news or
not-so-good news could be on the way.

No, I'm not asking you to analyze the dreams and the
events. It's just that I've been feeling weird and thought
it would be best to share it with you.

Updated a few hours later:
Wanna know what's the not-so-good news? (The reason why
my left eye was twitching the whole morning.) I called
my hubby and he happened to be at the police station, his
car has been broken into. His colleague's laptop was
missing from the boot, along with a few books and flight
tickets. If that's not enough, when I reached home I
found a registered letter addressed to my hubby. It was so
familiar, as it was a traffic summon for speeding on the
North-South highway... Hmmmm... I reserve my comments.
But, you all can comment, as usual. :)

Kisah sadis menyayat hati pada 10 Ramadhan

Ni entri kes bengang gila, sebab tu tulis cakap Melayu.
Tak tau le kenapa, bila bengang je tak reti cakap
Omputih, mesti nak membebel cakap Melayu jugak.

Macam ni ceritanya, pagi semalam saya kena pegi tempat
customer kat Putrajaya. Appointment pukul 10, jadi
keluar lah dari rumah dalam pukul 9 lebih camtu. Masa
lalu kat LDP kereta memang banyak tapi takdelah jam.
Ramai yang boleh bawak pecut berdesup-desup lagi. Oleh
kerana saya tak de apa sangat nak kejar, jadi bawak le
kereta dalam 60-70Km/hour je. Sambil tu dok menyanyi-
nyanyi (melalak sebenarnya) sesorang dalam kereta.

Sambil dok menyanyi, sempat lagi tengok rear-view
mirror sekali sekala, ada teksi sebijik kat belakang
drebar tu tengah berborak-borak dengan sorang pompuan
kat sebelah dia, wife dia kot.

Selepas Bandar Puteri, banyak kereta dah perlahan sebab
simpang nak pegi Putrajaya tak jauh kat depan tu. Lebih
kurang dalam 100 m lepas Bandar Puteri saya tengok kereta-
kereta kat depan semua dah tekan brek. Okay, saya pun
brek ajelah. Kereta depan berhenti, saya pun berhenti
jugaklah. Rilek takde apa yang nak dikejar.

Tiba-tiba terdengar bunyi emergency brek dengan bunyi
berdentum dari belakang. Belum sempat nak jeling rear-view
mirror dengar lagi satu dentuman dan serentak dengan itu
saya pun hampir tercampak ke depan. Nasib baik pakai
seat-belt, kalau tak mesti dah patah hidung. Argh, kereta
saya pun kena langgar jugak. Tension tak boleh cerita.

Masa tu kereta kat depan masih belum jalan. Sambil tu saya
tengok kereta belakang (teksi tadi tu) pintu boot nya dah
terangkat, mesti teruk kena hentam dari belakang tu. Muka
drebar ngan passengernya pun macam dah pucat lesi. Dalam
pada tu saya congak-congak jugak, bumper kereta saya ni
dah sah le scratch, harap-harap jangan tercabut, sudah.

Sambil berpikir-pikir tu tangan tiba-tiba menggigil.
Delayed shock kot... Dalam pada tu jugak rasa macam dilema
nak turun kereta ke tidak.

Masa kereta depan dah mula bergerak, saya terus congak-
congak dalam kepala (sempat lagi buat Maths tu...). Kalau
pegi ketuk kat workshop, mau kena dalam RM500 - 600 ni.
Kalau claim insurans, berapa agaknya diorang reset NCB
saya nanti?

Lepastu saya nampak dua-dua drebar kereta yang berlanggaran
kat belakang tadi dah mula keluar dari kereta masing-masing.
Mesti dah start nak nego ni. Dengan tak semena-mena saya pun
terus tekan minyak dan jalan dengan jayanya.

Dua tiga saat lepas tu, saya sendiri rasa hairan. Kenapa saya
tak turun ambik plet number dengan No IC diorang, ye? Nak kena
report polis ke? Kalau taknak claim insurans, nak kena
report polis jugak ke? Tadi tu banyak sangat kereta, rasa
ngeri pulak nak berhenti kat middle lane, dahlah saya sorang-
sorang pompuan. Dua-dua drebar tadi jantan, kalau kena buli
nanti, tak ke naya?

Okay, saya pun telefon hubby.

DNAS: Hello, u kat mana?

Hubby: Kat opis.

DNAS: I accident le kat LDP.

Hubby: Accident camana?

DNAS: 3 car piled up. I kat depan sekali tapi bukan salah I.

Hubby: Abih camana?

DNAS: I tak turun kereta le, I terus jalan je.

Hubby: Apsal? Kereta teruk tak?

DNAS: I ngeri la nak turun kereta. Tak sure teruk ke tak, belum check.

Hubby: Kalau teruk, camana nak claim insurans?

DNAS: Tak teruk kot. Takde bunyi apa-apa yang pecah pun.

Hubby: Abis, kalau hantar workshop, you nak pakai duit sendiri ke?

DNAS: Ha'ah. Ni nak kena report polis gak ke?

Hubby: Abih, you tak ambik diorang punya particulars, macamana nak report.

DNAS: Ha'ah, ek... (rasa bodohle pulak).

Hubby: Takpelah, nanti you check kereta tu. Petang nanti
you pegi ambik quotation kat workshop.

DNAS: Okay, nanti I pegi ( leh, nak ketuk keta pun kena pegi ambik quotation ke?)

Maka saya pun terus berhenti kat stesen minyak dekat tol LDP tu untuk check belakang kereta. Sekilas pandang, takde apa-apa yang serius. Bumper kiri ngan kanan terkeluar sikit. Pintu boot kemek sikit kat bawah plet number tu. Calar ada banyak jugak. Agak-agak mesti kena dalam RM500 lebih jugak ni. Hmmm... abisle budget nak beli handbag baru sebelum raya ni.

Kalau claim insurans, berapa agaknya diorang reset NCB tahun depan? Kalau kena banyar full premium, dah dalam RM2.5K beza dengan sekarang. Okay, takpe lah... bayar sendiri ajelah.

Jadi, lepas dah abis kerja kat Putrajaya, saya pun terus meluncur laju (eh, macam main ski la pulak) ke Glenmarie, nak pegi mintak quotation. Bila orang kat service center tu tengok keadaan belakang kereta saya, dia bagitau kena ketuk pintu boot, spray cat, bukak bumper, check dalam, spray bumper. So, jumlah kosnya - RM610. Hmm... okaylah kot. Bye bye my lovely handbag. Terus tinggal kereta kat situ.

Lepas tu telefon ofismet yang duduk dekat-dekat area rumah saya. Sorang tak de kat ofis, sorang lagi kat customer place. So, SMS Mr. Wolf, rumah dia pun kira dekat jugaklah dengan rumah saya, dalam 2km je jaraknya. Dia okay aje, dengan pantasnya dia datang jemput saya kat service center, biasalah tu... alasan nak balik opis awal.

Masuk-masuk je kereta dia, berdentum-dentam irama Hindustan. Leh, apasal pulak mamat ni layan Hindustan sekarang. Dia sengih je..

'I'm now back to my roots.' Dengan bangganya dia buat statement.

'Leh, kalau camtu, you should be listening to Tamil songs le...'

'Hahahah, you merendahkan kasta I.' Mr. Wolf menyeringaikan giginya yang
putih tapi ada kesan-kesan nikotin.

So, Hindustan pun Hindustanlah, janji dia sudi tumpangkan saya balik. Sepanjang perjalanan balik tu saya pun apa lagi, dok meluahkan rasa bengang sebab keta kena sondol tanpa kerelaan. Nasib baik la mamat tu sudi dengar, layan aje. Sekali-sekala dia kutuk jugak, apasal saya taknak claim insurans. Aiseh, dah terlambat le... nak
buat camana, kan?

Updated at 4.25pm:
------------------
Tadi ada member cakap, kalau accident tu bukan salah kita, NCB kita takde kena reset ataupun reduced percentagenya. Betul ke? Pastu dia cakap, kalau drebar yang lain tu buat report on me, my NCB will be affected? Laaaah, camtu ke? Apasal saya tak tau?

Maka, kesimpulannya:
1. Saya memang tak tau hujung pangkal pasal insurans ni.
2. Saya pemandu yang berhemah.
3. Bila ada problem saya settle sendiri, (tak membebankan laki le kononnya).
4. Layan Hindustan sekali sekala best jugak.

Kekecewaan Seorang Penyokong Underdog

Why?

Why?

Kalau Zizou tu dah bersara awal-awal, mesti Portugal dah dapat pegi finals daaa...
Ish tak habih lagi rasa tak puas hati makcik nih.

Lagi tension sebab kalah betting dengan Mr. Hubby... uwekk...

So, Mr. Hubby gets to watch the finals with his frens dekat luar. Nanti tinggal le makcik ngan bebudak ni kat rumah.
